SNOW: January 23, 2016 was very, very white. In my childhood, I would awake to snow in joy. It was a surprise! This snow had been forecast-ed all week long loaded with hype of fearful connotations. Keep phones charged, have flashlights, have generators, have food (with about only one day of no access to grocery stores?). Maybe reminders are ok, but really; how dumb are we? I, who rarely turn on the TV, have received the fearful messages none the less.
Oh JOY! I hope you bought a new sled, saucer, or warmer gloves to go enjoy the moment. That would go a long way to erase the fear. Do you have children to play with in the snow? That will demonstrate JOY.
I enjoy photography, and got outside with the camera. Years ago, we had a good (week long) snow storm which I recorded on VHS. My son was in the military, and I was recording for him our efforts to keep the driveway open in a humorous manner. That has since been saved to DVD and is most fun to watch.
Whether or not you have snow, think of it with love, not fear.
