NON-JUDGEMENT: My 2 1/2 year old grandson is teaching me non-judgement. The pointed way he does that is by his coloring. He doesn’t care that there are lines to stay within, or that grass is pink. Do we point that out to him? Of course not. He does not judge his work. He isn’t afraid of going outside the lines. He does it for the joy of seeing color splashed on the page. He also thinks he can sing and play a guitar!
Come to think of it, how would he have learned to walk, run, talk, kiss and hug if his efforts were not encouraged. Suppose he had said walking is too hard, I can’t do it. Will he grow up to be an artist or a musician? As long as he can be innocent of self judgement he has the freedom TO BE. And what a joy his BEing-ness is to his family!
